When prevailing conditions deepen stress, anxiety, depression and sometimes the tendency to commit suicide, it would be very advisable to walk mental health: that is working towards achieving a sound mental health. This is the reason why we are taking the time off our rigid schedules today in a health walk with the Accra Psychiatry Hospital started at 7.00 am at their Hospital entrance and ending at the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park in a Health screening. It is not late, join us.

When going left does not seem right,
And going right is all that is left.
Seconds growing into minutes with restlessness of my mind,
With every breath increasing the burden on my chest.
A seeming war within the walls,
Whether lying on the floor or standing tall,
Chasing the wind of thoughts,
The philosophy that sanity could be bought.
Mr politician must implement better policies,
Let the preacher man do away with the tricks.
The doctor to do right and better diagnosis,
The media must shun evil mind gimmicks.
A lot more trees equal a healthy breeze,
Shine a better light for my eyes I need vision.
When I feel empty feed my ears with music,
My heart is at peace when my nose smells justice.
Love is warm and sanity is sweet,
Our poor environment festers deepening depression.
Fix the system and heal the nation,
A healthy mind means a healthy city.
Leave me alone,
I am not mad.
The sun is alone,
Yet does she shine.
