Coordinators Highlight

Early attention and treatment can make a difference in the life of person suffering mental illness. We mostly ignore these signs and complaints till they are too late. We treat lightly their grave concern and may tend to pin point a finger or blame. At times a listening ear, a tap on the shoulder, “saying it will be well” is all they want and need to heal. Don’t deny them.

He cried out for help!
Oh yes, he did!
Once not, twice not,
Countless, yeah!

Not taken as serious,
 Counsellor himself he was,
 His call for help muffled,
 By the appearances thereof

Who failed?
Who takes the blame?
What was his wrong,
 In crying out for help?

His helpers helped not,
Failed they failed,
Things taken at surface level,
Taken for granted,
Despite his guttural call.

Then it was too late
The waves taking over
Regret abounded,
Yet regret faded, and life went on,
Taking repentance in its wake,
A sore sight to behold.
