Consumed
If it consumes you, makes you less of yourself and more of it
If it’s too demanding, never satisfied
If it’s in itself never satisfying
Then take that step back
If you feel relief in it’s long absence
If you feel incapable in it’s short absence
If you achieve more in it’s absence
Then remain away
If it’s wrong yet feels so good
It’s only that good because it’s that bad
And that good may be overrated
And that good can come from a better replacement
It’s an addiction
Lust, sex, drugs, people, habits
That it can be replaced by any of these
And you should get treatment
Avoid in the short term
Deal with the craving, the withdrawal- get help
Now feel the calmness, the sweetness in your spirit- remain in therapy
Say yes to that and no to the item of addiction.
