The condition where a person hears voices, sees, or believe things that aren’t real is termed psychosis. This condition can be triggered by schizophrenia and bi-polar disorder. Early signs are worrisome: drop in grades and performances; unusual withdrawal from society; feeling of extreme distrust, suspicion, and the feeling that one has been targeted by others; strange or no feelings at all, trouble thinking clearly or concentrating. See a doctor when you notice these.

The battle was fought
The battle is lost
In control the foe
That enemy within
That unwanted voice
Voices that enter like a thief in the night
to mock and control us

He is the master
We are the slaves
We follow believing it
Doing as he says

Hiding behind what we dearly cherish
We are on the way to attain our dreams we think
He humiliates us while he parades us about
We do anything he says because we believe him
and not ourselves anymore

We doubt if it is true
Not real
What he says will harm us, we know
but we do it because of the promised dream
until reality hits us in the face

Oh it’s a lie, we see it
but it’s too late, we’ve done it
lost our pride, status and self
feeling sad, forlorn, low spirit in a pensive mood
while he stands aside and mocks us
preparing to enter
again in order to control
