Kokrokoo Kokrokoo! (A poem on nature)
Waring men in a chase fright
Poor cockrel in a hasty flight
Sacred abode of the visible noon
Desecrated below the unseen moon
Short the sleep of the elders lived
Gone the peace of the green land out
The feathery throat when slashed cried out loud
A wholesome meal prepared to appease
The raging elders provoked to awake
A restoration of exceeding peace
Kokrokoo Kokrokoo
Three parts the virgin night is divided
The fragile silence soon to be broken
The tired ancient ones to begin
The steps towards their home way
The strong bones of the happy tribe arrayed
Their huts and shelters awake
Three times their unblemished praise
Three times ascend to their mighty maker
Giving way for his sun’s rays
Driving away the feared dark

Serenity (a poem on nature)
The roaring waves recede
like the sun sinking before the rising moon
as our joys transform
from the vivacious days of happiness
into the serenity of romantic moonlit nights
where our pains and aches are deftly massaged
into sensual pleasure
as we re-live our lives of sadness and happiness.
The sinking sun
lights the rising moon
into caressing the horizon of the sea
with so strong an aphrodisiac urge
that clearly flows through the spines
of beholding lovers
into a serenity of a lovers’ haven in a sensuous shore,
prompting the senses into pondering
the immeasurable creativity of our Maker.
The echoes of the roaring waves
hush the scenery into a serene paradise
of biblical significance;
and the little darts of the rushing water from the sea
drive the heart into a frenzy so rare
and an ecstasy so reminiscent of yesteryears
when our youthful exuberance could defy all odds
to meet our sweethearts in the romantic moonlit hideouts
of the velvety shores.
